These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website ahia.nl and the training courses, qualifications, certificates and related services (the “Services”) provided by AHIA BV, Amsterdam HSE International Academy (“AHIA”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in the Netherlands at Kievithma 7, 5331 EK Kerkdriel. By visiting our website, enrolling on a course, or purchasing any Service from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our website or Services.
1. About AHIA
AHIA is a health, safety and quality-management training provider offering courses including EOSH, OTHM-accredited qualifications, ISO Lead Auditor training (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001), and other professional and management programmes, delivered online and/or in person. AHIA BV is itself ISO 9001:2015 certified for its quality management system.
2. Enrolment and Eligibility
By enrolling on a course you confirm that the information you provide during registration is accurate and complete, and that you meet any entry requirements published for that course. AHIA reserves the right to refuse or cancel an enrolment where information provided is false, incomplete, or where entry requirements are not met.
3. Fees and Payment
Course fees are as stated on the website at the time of purchase, in euros (EUR) unless otherwise indicated, and are payable in full at the time of enrolment unless a payment plan has been agreed with AHIA in writing. AHIA reserves the right to change published prices at any time, but a change will not affect an enrolment already confirmed and paid for.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation and refund requests are handled in accordance with our Refund and Returns Policy. Please review that policy before enrolling. Where a course is cancelled or postponed by AHIA, we will offer an alternative date or a full refund of fees paid for that course.
5. Course Materials and Intellectual Property
All course materials, presentations, recordings, templates and other content provided as part of a Service remain the intellectual property of AHIA or its licensors. Materials are provided for your personal study use only and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, resold, or used to deliver training to others without AHIA’s prior written consent.
6. Certification
Certificates are issued only on successful completion of the applicable course and, where relevant, any assessment or examination requirements set by AHIA or the relevant awarding/accrediting body. Certificate authenticity can be checked at any time using our certificate verification tool. AHIA reserves the right to revoke a certificate that was issued in error or obtained through misrepresentation.
7. Learner Conduct
Learners are expected to engage with courses honestly and respectfully, and in particular not to engage in plagiarism, impersonation, or any form of assessment malpractice. AHIA may suspend or withdraw a learner from a course, without refund, where these expectations are seriously or repeatedly breached.
8. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our Services, please contact us at hans@ahia.nl so we can try to resolve the matter directly. We aim to acknowledge complaints promptly and respond in full within a reasonable time.
9. Data Protection
Any personal data you provide to us is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law, including the GDPR.
10. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, AHIA’s total liability arising out of or in connection with the Services is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant course.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Services or for legal or regulatory reasons. The version published on this page at the time you enrol or use the Services will apply.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Services shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent Dutch courts.
